The Journey of

Alina Alcantara

Alina Alcántara is a native New Yorker of Dominican heritage, based in Orlando, Florida. Proud Member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA).

Alina had always loved the arts from an early age, but never pursued a professional career in acting - until a local community theatre production of IN THE HEIGHTS changed the course of her life forever.

Recent credits include:

Widow Corney, OLIVER! (Theatre at St. Luke’s),

Abuela Claudia, In The Heights (Theatre West End), Narrator/Host, Symphony Storytime Series (Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra), Mamman Lilla, Carmen (Opera Orlando),

Elodia in the movie The Charm Of Love.

Alina is currently performing in the play LUCHADORA!, at the Orlando Repertory Theatre.

She is also a performer at the Walt Disney World Resort, and prior to that, had a recurring role as Celestina Warbeck at Universal Orlando.

A proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Alina has also been actively involved in special events around Orlando:

STAY  HOME  WITH  PRIDE  2020, Pride Chamber Business Awards Gala 2019,

FAB FRINGE FUNDRAISER 2019, the 2018 Orlando Citrus Parade, and 2018 Pulse Remembrance Ceremony at the Pulse Memorial, among other special events.

Forever grateful to her soul tribe, Familia, and Sol - who awakened her to this wild, sacred journey.
