Janelle King, MPH, BSN, RN, is a registered nurse with a Master's degree in Public Health. Her clinical background includes HIV outreach, adolescent and teen medicine, as well as college health. During her nursing career, she has spent many years educating young adults about reproductive and sexual health.
Janelle's love for patient educations inspired her to create and use social media platforms to educate her predominantly African American female fan base about their vaginas (anatomy and hygiene), periods, and sex. She also teaches about hormonal and non-hormonal birth control options and sexually transmitted infections. She aims to normalize taboo topics and dispel myths and misconceptions related to sexual health. Janelle believes her relatable demeanor; clinical and personal experiences help women better understand their bodies and choices.
Janelle is also an accomplished writer and has crafted content for numerous healthcare brands such as Women's Day Magazine, AARP Sisters Newsletter, Modern Fertility, Med IQ, Sentinel Research, nix it menstrual cup, The Body: The HIV/AIDS Resource, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, The Seam among many others.
Janelle has also shared her expertise on several podcasts and virtual platforms, including Be Well Sis Podcast, The Femme Focus Podcast, Your Next Shift Podcast. She has also been featured in ATL Voyage and Shoutout ATL magazines.
